Biography
Hua-yu LI is a PhD student in Robotics and Autonomous Systems at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) and remains an active member of FengGao Lab. His research focuses on medical AI for intelligent surgery and medical image understanding, with particular interests in reinforcement learning and domain adaptation. Before beginning his doctoral studies, he worked as a surgical resident at Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center. He contributed as a co-first author to the PIANOS colorectal cancer risk-stratification system and the INTELCAPE capsule-endoscopy system for Crohn's disease diagnosis.
