From medical evidence to understandable stories
Med Auto Cast (MAC) is the lab’s medical explainer-video agent for clinicians, health educators, and medical content creators. It starts with a question patients care about, organizes the medical evidence and communication boundaries, and develops a story that can be understood without losing the meaning of the underlying evidence.
MAC extends the lab’s agent systems into health communication. Research agents help produce and examine evidence; MAC helps communicate that evidence through narration, images, animation, and a reviewable video package.
A connected production process
The agent supports topic and series planning, evidence review, script and storyboard development, narration, subtitles, animation, editing, and audiovisual review. Work can begin with a new question or continue from an existing script, recording, asset collection, or draft video.
New productions default to local JavaScript animation with a hand-drawn collage style. Video-model generation is an optional production choice. Authorized reference voices can be used through IndexTTS, with Edge TTS available as an alternative. Author identity, voice, and visual continuity are established for the production before a series is developed.
Deliverables can include the video, subtitles, narration, review records, and companion text for Xiaohongshu and WeChat Channels. Reviewed keyframes and reusable clips retain their sources and usage constraints so later episodes can build on prior work.
Review and current implementation
Technical checks, audiovisual review, complete listening review, and medical review answer different questions. A decodable video or passing software check does not establish that the medical content is ready for publication. Professional reviewers retain responsibility for medical conclusions, and platform uploads follow the creator’s authorization.
Current source validation includes local browser and animation setup, narration checks, and rendering of test videos.
