One Person Lab App Windows Preview is now available

Update, August 2026: The RC milestone described below has since graduated into the unified Stable release. The old RC Release has been retired; download the current Windows x64 installer from the latest One Person Lab App release.

One Person Lab App is now available as an opt-in Windows x64 RC Preview for Windows 11.

The Windows Preview brings the One Person Lab desktop workbench to Windows, with access to OPL Gateway and Codex-backed research workflows. It uses WSL 2 for its managed runtime and keeps the Windows desktop experience, local work context, model access, and diagnostics in one place.

This is a prerelease Preview, not the Windows Stable channel. It is intended for users who want to try the Windows desktop experience early and provide feedback before broader release qualification.

The Preview release included:

  • A Windows x64 installer for Windows 11.
  • A resumable PowerShell download helper for less reliable connections.
  • Published SHA-256 checksums for installer verification.
  • Guided setup for Gateway access and the WSL 2 runtime.

The current Stable release provides the supported desktop packages from one release page.
