New: One Person Lab App enters internal macOS beta

One Person Lab App is now the published desktop product for One Person Lab. The App repository publishes the macOS package, release assets, updater metadata, first-run guidance, and the one-shot installer.

Update, August 2026: The beta described below has since graduated into the unified Stable release. Use the current Latest Stable release and the maintained macOS first-install guide; the beta-era branch installer is no longer the supported public install path.

The App packages One Person Lab, domain agents, and companion tools into one local workbench for research, grants, presentations, and other expert knowledge work. On first launch it checks the local environment, framework dependency, domain modules, companion tools, and package readiness.

The underlying One Person Lab Framework remains the shared stage-led runtime and contract layer: it provides CLI activation, runtime providers, module discovery, skill sync, runtime snapshots, and progress projections. The App consumes those framework surfaces and presents them as a user-facing desktop experience.

At the time of this beta, the App entry points exposed Research Foundry, Grant Foundry, and Presentation Foundry. The current official profile has since expanded to five standard agents, including OPL Meta Agent and OPL Book Forge. Their domain agents carry the specialized judgment, quality checks, stage semantics, and deliverables, while the App keeps progress, files, runtime status, and recoverable work context visible.

Researchers and students are welcome to try the internal beta through the App release channel.
